A. The Certified Master Chef exam is a grueling 130-hour, eight day test designed to challenge and evaluate a chef’s mastery of the culinary arts. It is broken down into an 8 comprehensive majors: Healthy Cooking, Buffet Catering, Classic Cuisine, Freestyle, Global Cuisine, Baking & Pastry, Continental & North Europe Cuisines, and Market Basket.

Having successfully completed the rigorous examination administered by the American Culinary Federation (ACF), Daryl’s achievement makes him one of 68 total chefs in the World to currently hold this distinction. Specifically, Chef Shular was one of two chefs out of eleven to earn the distinction of Certified Master Chef in 2014.
